About This Coffee

Boa Vida is a honey‑processed Arabica blend of Yellow Catuai, Yellow Catucaí, and Topázio. It’s our flagship Brazilian espresso coffee for daily use. It has a rounded body, balanced acidity, and smooth sweetness, with notes of candied orange peel, macadamia nuts, and the smoothness of milk chocolate.

The Terroir

The terroir of Campo das Vertentes in Minas Gerais, Brazil, brings a distinctive character to speciality coffee, setting it apart from the country’s more widely known producing regions. Located on a high plateau with elevations ranging from 900 to 1,200 meters, the area benefits from a unique convergence of Atlantic Forest and Cerrado biomes, which creates a balanced microclimate of cool nights and warm days. The soils here are predominantly clay-rich and mineral-dense, providing steady nutrition to the coffee trees and contributing to a round, structured cup. Unlike many traditional Brazilian coffees known for chocolatey and nutty profiles, Campo das Vertentes often produces lots with cleaner sweetness, delicate acidity, and notes of caramel, dried fruits, and florals, reflecting both its terroir and the meticulous practices of smallholder farmers. This combination of biodiversity, altitude, and soil composition makes the region a rising star in Brazil’s speciality coffee landscape.
